Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of your dog's ribcage, just behind the front legs. Snug, not tight. That number is your chest girth.

Materials and care

Waterproof polyester shell with 160g polyester insulation and a soft brushed lining.

Full-length zip down the back. Standing collar with an adjustable cord.
Elastic at the waist and sleeve cuffs. Two reinforced D-rings on the back. A wide reflective band around the collar.

Weight runs from 238 g in S to 447 g in 3XL. Coat length from 16 to 27.5 inches.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, with the zip closed. Air dry.
Don't tumble dry, it flattens the insulation. No iron, no bleach, and no fabric softener, since softener works against the shell.

Questions people ask

Is it really waterproof, or water-resistant?

Waterproof. The shell keeps water out rather than slowing it down, so snow, slush and cold rain stay on the outside instead of soaking through to the insulation. That matters more than it sounds. Wet fill stops insulating, which is why a soaked coat can leave a dog colder than no coat at all.

What it isn't is a swimsuit. It covers the back, chest, shoulders, front legs and belly, and it does that job properly. Your dog's lower legs and head are still going to get wet. After a long walk in heavy rain the outside will be beaded and wet to the touch while the lining underneath stays dry. Hang it up and it's ready by morning.
Will it fit a barrel-chested dog like a Frenchie or a Boxer?

Usually yes, and the elastic waist is the reason. It stretches to the shape of your dog rather than cinching to a fixed setting, which is what broad-chested dogs need. Measure the widest point of the ribcage and use that number. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
Do I still need a harness?

Not for everyday walks. The D-ring on the back is stitched into a reinforced strap, so you can clip a leash straight to the coat.

Will my dog let me put the sleeves on?

Most dogs are fine after the first two or three times. Go one leg at a time and keep it calm. The sleeves are wide enough that nothing has to be forced. If your dog genuinely won't tolerate it, tell us within 30 days and we'll refund you.
