Why this coat exists
Royaltails isn't our first go at this. We sold dog gear in Europe before, mostly vests, and we learned two things the hard way.
The first was about fit. Around eight percent of what we sold came back, and almost none of it was because the product was bad. It came back because the sizing ran slightly off and we hadn't given people a good enough way to measure before they ordered. That one is fixable. It's the reason this store has a measurement-based size guide instead of a breed chart, and the reason you can email us your dog's chest measurement and have a person check it for you.
The second was about winter coats specifically. Almost every one on the market is a blanket with straps. It photographs well and it rotates sideways ten minutes into the walk, and then it's a strap across the chest and a cold, wet dog.
So we made the one we couldn't buy.
One product, on purpose
We could list twenty things. Most stores in this category do, and a lot of them have never held any of it.
We'd rather make one thing and know it completely. We know what the coat weighs in every size, what the fill is, how the sizing runs across breeds, and what happens to it after a wash. Ask us something specific and you get a specific answer, not a line copied off a supplier sheet.
When there's a second product it'll be because we spent the same amount of time on it. Not before.
Why delivery takes 5 to 10 days
We're not a same-day operation and we're not going to pretend to be. Every order ships free anywhere in the US and arrives within 5 to 10 business days.
That's the trade for buying direct. There's no retail chain between us and you, no distributor margin, nobody taking a cut on the way, which is why a coat built like this one costs $69 instead of what the same build costs on a shelf.
We tell you this before you order rather than after. If you need it tomorrow, buy something else and we won't be offended.
If you want to ask something
There's no ticket system here and no chatbot. There's an email address, and a person reads it and answers, usually the same day.
Every order that comes in, I see. If something goes wrong, I'm the one fixing it.
